Every ingredient has a purpose in our formulations. We focus on creating a sensorial experience that leaves your skin feeling nourished, soft and cared for, without losing sight of what matters most; non-toxic houghtful formulation and ingredient transparency.
The Environmental Working Group's (EWG) Skin Deep® Cosmetics Database a resource consumers can use to explore ingredients in personal care products. It provides hazard ratings on a scale of 1 to 10, alongside a separate data-availability rating that indicates how much scientific information is available about an ingredient or product.
As part of our commitment to transparency, we have used EWG's Skin Deep® Build Your Own Report tool to explore the ingredient profiles of our body creams.
Our preliminary assessments returned the following scores:
Fragrance-free body cream: EWG score 2
Scented body cream: EWG score 3
These scores offer a starting point for understanding the ingredient profiles of our formulations. They are not a guarantee of zero risk, and they do not mean that a product is suitable for every skin type. Individual sensitivities can vary, and fragrance ingredients may be a consideration for those with sensitive skin.
We also recognise that an ingredient's hazard score and the amount of scientific data available about it are two different things. That is why we see ingredient research as part of an ongoing commitment to making informed formulation choices
For us, clean beauty is not about making promises that nature alone makes a product safe. It is about being intentional with ingredients, transparent about our choices and committed to continuous learning.
